Did you know that we can build a beanstalk with only 10 pipe cleaners??  No other supplies...no glue, tape, or scissors!  And we our beanstalk can hold an egg!  We're able to do this because we learned how important structures are and the functions of different objects.  This was NOT easy for us to do, but we learned how to persevere!
THANK YOU to our family for joining us at our Project Lead the Way Parent Activity!  We had so much fun working with you on this activity!

It's never too early to start thinking of what we want to be when we grow up!!  To reach our goals, we learned that we need to work hard, always try our best, and never give up!
Thank you to the Police Officers from the Kapolei Police Department, Dr. Stacie from Kapolei Keiki Dental, and Mr. Harrison from OC16 Sports for taking the time to come down to our school!  Thank you for teaching us about your job..and most importantly, THANK YOU for working hard to help our community!

A very big THANK YOU goes out to our families who have also helped to us to reach this milestone and make our 100th Day such a fun, special, and memorable day!  Thank you for helping us make creative 100th Day projects and count 100 of our favorite snack to add to our trail mix!

Tribe Graffiti!

We can draw anywhere we want??  It doesn't matter which way the paper goes??  Earlier this month, we worked in groups on an activity called "Tribe Graffiti."  And yes, there were not much rules except....
  • we all needed to draw and label animals that we wanted to learn more about
and most importantly, we needed to follow our TRIBE Agreements...
  • Mutual Respect
  • Attentive Listening
  • Appreciations, No Put Downs
  • Right to Participate, Right to Pass
  • Safety First

After we were finished our "graffiti," we shared the animals we wanted to learn more about with the friends in our group.  The hardest part may have been coming to an agreement on only one animal because there were so many different animals...and of course, because the animals we drew were the best!! After finding some of the same animals, listening the opinions of others, and learning to vote (and that it's okay if we don't always get what we want!), we came to an agreement!

What's this for, you ask?!  Stay tuned!  Coming Soon!

We took our very first field trip of this school year to Hawaii's Plantation Village!  We compared the ways of living from back then to now, as well as learned about the different cultures.  We got to blow bubbles from papaya stems, look at different homes, try on clothing from different cultures, and experience and participate in a ribbon dance!!  A big THANK YOU to Mr. Jones (Khloe's Dad) and Mrs. Morgan (Ryder's Mom) for chaperoning our field trip...this field trip wouldn't have been possible without your help!
