We continued to sort today and used a Tree Map to help us sort animals. We thought of creative ways to sort the animals! Some ways we sorted were:
K.MD.3: Classify objects into given categories; count the numbers of objects in each category and sort the categories by count. (Limit category counts to be less than or equal to 10.)

We are learning about our 5 Senses! We used our sense of Sight to make observations and draw what we saw at one of our favorite places at school, the playground! SC.K.1.1: Uses the senses to make observations. We counted how many rocket blocks (letters) we have in our first name! We learned that our friends have 5, 6, 7, 8, and even 10 rocket blocks in their names! K.CC.4: Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality. We learned how to "click and drag" on the laptops to create our self-portraits! Thank you, Ms. Higa, for teaching us this fun activity!! GLO #6: Effective and Ethical User of Technology We were able to identify the character and setting in the story, Rainbow Fish. Using various materials, we were able to create our very own Rainbow Fish! K.RL.3: With prompting and support, identify characters, settings, and major events in a story.
