Homework is a reinforcement of the concepts and skills that have been taught in school. Just as we expect students to try their best, and produce neat and quality work in school, we ask for your help to continue these important expectations at home.
1. Homework will be given Monday - Thursday (schedule to change, due to holidays, events, etc.)
2. Your child will be bringing home his/her GO! Binder DAILY. The GO! Binder will consist of the following sections:
Planner: This planner will have weekly homework charts, important reminders/ information, and a way for parents to communicate with the teacher and vice versa.
Weekly Homework Charts will be glued in your child's planner at the beginning of each week. During second semester, your child will write homework down independently. Please be sure to check and initial daily.
Return to School: This will include homework assignments and important papers that need to be turned in the following day or as soon as possible.
Leave at Home: This may include any completed work, or important fliers and notes. Please check daily and empty out as needed.
Spelling: Spelling homework will begin at later time, more information will come home. Keep spelling homework in this tab and empty it out at the end of the week.
Reading Logs: There will be two reading logs. "Read to Me" - Library Books will be sent home once a week. Book It! will start in October and end in March.
Skills to Practice: It is highly recommended that these skills are practiced. Please check, as there may be new skills that will be added to this section.
3. Please make sure your child writes his/her name and date on all homework assignments.
